Haven on your desktop

The same Haven workspace you know from the browser, as a native app for macOS and Windows. Your data lives in a local database on your computer, and the app keeps itself up to date.

Why a desktop app

What the desktop app adds

Local database

Your encrypted data is stored in a SQLite database on your disk instead of browser storage, which the browser may clear.

Works offline

Haven and your installed apps are part of the app. Sync resumes when you are back online.

Automatic updates

New Haven versions download in the background. You decide when to restart.

Local AI agents

Let AI clients on your computer use Haven apps through a local MCP bridge, only with your approval.

Installation

Getting started

macOS
  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag Haven onto the Applications folder.
  3. Start Haven from Applications or Launchpad.
Windows
  1. Run the installer, or unzip the portable package and start Haven.exe.
  2. The files are signed by Mindoo GmbH. While the certificate is new, Windows SmartScreen may still ask: click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
  3. Haven needs Microsoft Edge WebView2, which Windows 10 and 11 normally include. The installer adds it if it is missing.
